The Mayor shall, pursuant to the City Manager's recommendation,
hire and appoint the Tax Collector.
The Tax Collector, by virtue of his/her office, shall be the
Tax Collector of the City and may be the collector of county, school
and institution district taxes assessed or levied in the City by the
proper authorities therein.
The position of Tax Collector shall be a part-time position
and may be an independent position or incorporated into an existing
staff position within the City. The Mayor shall set the salary of
the Tax Collector with approval by City Council.
