The Planning Board of the Town of Little Valley, as presently constituted, is a seven-member Board; however, one of such members has resigned, leaving an unfilled vacancy, and the term of another member expires on December 31, 2000.
Effective January 1, 2001, the Planning Board of the Town of Little Valley shall consist of five members.
Members now holding office for terms which expire after January 1, 2001, shall continue to serve until the expiration of their respective terms; provided, however, that members now holding office for terms which do not expire at the end of a calendar year shall, upon the expiration of their terms, hold office until the end of the calendar year and their successors shall then be appointed for terms which shall be equal in years to the number of members of the Board.
Members of the Board appointed on or after the effective date hereof shall serve five-year terms.
Pursuant to the authority of Municipal Home Rule Law § 10, Subdivision 1(ii)d(3), the provisions of this chapter supersede the provisions of § 271 of the Town Law of the State of New York to the extent that such provisions are inconsistent. Any other local law, ordinance or resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Little Valley, only to the extent that such law, ordinance or resolution is inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter, is hereby repealed. To the extent that any such other local laws, ordinances or resolutions are consistent with the provisions of this chapter, such other local laws, ordinances and resolutions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
