The document entitled "City of Warren Taxpayers Bill of Rights
Disclosure Statement" is hereby adopted as the official policy of
the City of Warren and shall be made available to any taxpayer upon
request, to any taxpayer contacted regarding assessment, audit, determination,
review or collection of an eligible tax, or at any other time required
by law.
Supporting/related documents entitled "City of Warren Taxpayers
Bill of Rights Notice" and "City of Warren Information Request Time
Extension Procedure Notice" and "City of Warren Tax Appeal Information
and Regulations" are also hereby adopted as the official policy of
the City of Warren.
The City of Warren shall enclose a copy of the Taxpayer Bill
of Rights Notice with each tax bill and shall provide a copy of said
notice to a taxpayer at any time the taxpayer is contacted regarding
the assessment, audit, determination, review or collection of any
tax (other than property taxes). The Warren City Council appoints
the Warren County School District Earned Income Tax Office Manager
as the City of Warren Tax Appeal Hearing Officer, with compensation
to be reflective of his/her hourly rate for duties performed outside
of the regular workday. The City Council may appoint a replacement
hearing officer and amend the hearing officer's compensation by resolution.
