Whoever, without reasonable cause, by outcry or otherwise, makes any false alarm of fire, shall be penalized under §
179-1.
Any person who has an automatic fire alarm which calls for a
direct response from the Fire Company shall be charged a fee to be
set by the Village Board for three or more false alarms in a calendar
year. When the Fire Chief determines that the cause of the false alarm
was beyond the control of the permit holder, that false alarm may
be exempted from this fee requirement. If such person can show cause
why a false alarm was not the result of negligence, improper installation
or maintenance, the Fire Chief may waive the fee.
