The following acts are declared to be illegal in the Borough of Lindenwold:
A. 
Appearing in any street or public place in a state of nudity or in clothing not belonging to his or her sex or in indecent or lewd clothing, or making indecent exposure of his or her person or doing any lewd or indecent act, or exhibiting, selling or offering to sell any indecent or lewd book, picture or thing.
B. 
Inhumanely or cruelly beating or injuring or otherwise abusing any dumb animal.
C. 
Maliciously, willfully or wantonly breaking, destroying, injuring, overthrowing or carrying away lighting or extinguishing (except persons duly authorized) any of the public lamps or lamp parts or anything pertaining thereto in any of the streets, lanes or alleys within the Borough.
D. 
Entering into any house, garden or other enclosure within the limits of this Borough and breaking, cutting, rooting up or otherwise destroying any tree, shrub or plant there growing without leave of the owner or occupier first had and obtained, or cutting, breaking or otherwise defacing or injuring any house or building or any porch, fence, pillar or property belonging to any house, building or enclosure within this Borough without leave of the owner or occupier first had and obtained.

Any person guilty of committing any of the above illegal acts shall be subject to the penalties as set forth in Chapter 1, § 1-1, of this Code.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BOROUGH
The Borough of Lindenwold, County of Camden and State of New Jersey.[1]
PERSON
Any individual, corporation, association, organization, firm or partnership.

No person shall, within the limits of the Borough, enter the building or go upon the lands of any school and break, damage or deface such building or any part thereof or the fences or other property belonging to or connected with such building or lands, and no person shall disturb the exercises of any school or molest or give annoyance to the children attending such school or any teacher therein either while on the school property or while going to or coming from said school.
No person shall, within the limits of the Borough, disturb any lawful assembly of persons or of any neighborhood, family or person by any loud or unnecessary noise or by shouting or by using any profane, indecent or obscene language or by quarreling, assaulting, fighting or otherwise disturbing the peace and quiet.
No person shall be intoxicated or under the influence of drug or drugs or a barbiturate in any street, highway, thoroughfare or public place within the limits of the Borough or in any hotel, boardinghouse, store, restaurant or other quasi-public place to the annoyance of any person.
No person shall, within the limits of the Borough, maliciously destroy or damage any real or personal property belonging to another.
No person shall throw any debris, organic matter, stones, sticks, glass, metal or any hard, dangerous or offensive substance into any street, road, avenue, highway or public place or at any car, vehicle, house, building, fence or person within the Borough limits.
A. 
No person shall, within the limits of the Borough, throw or discard any tin cans, bottles, garbage or refuse of any kind whatsoever into the waters of any pond, stream or lake or into waters adjacent thereto, or discharge any sewage or waste into said waters or any of them or pollute the said waters or any of them in any manner whatsoever.
B. 
No person shall deposit upon the surface of any public or private property or upon any street, lane or alley of said Borough any rubbish or matter likely to decompose or be blown about by the wind or use any such substances to fill in or grade the surface or level of any ground in the Borough.
No person shall, within the limits of the Borough, keep or maintain on any public or private property any open cistern, open hole, unsafe structure, dilapidated vehicle or junk which would be likely to endanger the health or safety of any person.
No person shall hinder, obstruct or interfere with any Borough officer in the performance of his duties, nor shall any person willfully refuse or neglect to assist any Borough officer when lawfully called upon by him to do so in the execution of any process or in the suppression of any breach of the peace or disorderly conduct or in case of an escape or when such officer is resisted in the discharge of his duty. Nor shall any person knowingly resist, hinder, obstruct or interfere with any officer or person authorized by law in serving or attempting to serve any summons, writ, subpoena, order or other process or when making an arrest.[1]

No person shall, within the limits of the Borough, willfully or maliciously ring or cause to be rung any bell, whistle or other alarm of any fire company or in any other manner give or cause to be given a false alarm of fire.
No person shall trespass on private property and surreptitiously or sneakingly invade the privacy of another by peering into the windows or other openings of dwelling places located thereon for no lawful purpose.
Any person who shall be apprehended either on foot or in any automobile, vehicle or public conveyance within the limits of the Borough, who cannot give a good account of himself or herself, or who is engaged in an illegal occupation or who is in the Borough for an unlawful purpose, shall be deemed and adjudged to be a disorderly person and subject to the penalties hereinafter set forth in this article.

No person shall, within the limits of the Borough, loiter or remain in a parked automobile on the public streets or public places or on the private grounds of another.
No person shall, within the limits of the Borough, go about from door to door or place himself or herself in any street, road, avenue, highway or other public place to beg or gather alms, except upon written permit from the Chief of Police.
No person shall, within the limits of the Borough, willfully or maliciously take down, remove or injure any notice, advertisement or other placard legally and publicly set up by an officer or person in accordance with law before the time to which such notice, advertisement or placard relates.

Any person who shall violate any terms or provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalties as set forth in Chapter 1, § 1-1, of this Code.
