As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BUS
A motor vehicle designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver, or a motor vehicle, other than a taxicab or limousine, designed to transport not more than 15 passengers, including the driver, and used for transportation of persons for compensation. The term does not include a school bus.
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT
The territory delineated and designated as R-1, R-1A and R-2 by Chapter 350, Zoning, of the Code of the Borough of Old Forge and territory within the Borough of Old Forge contiguous to and including a road or highway within 300 feet of a residential district defined herein.
TRAILER
A vehicle designed to be towed by a motor vehicle.
It shall be unlawful for the owner or operator of any truck, tractor, tractor-trailer combination, bus or trailer, as such terms are defined in the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,[1] or vehicle other than a passenger car, van, sport utility vehicle, station wagon or pickup truck (see restrictions below) to cause or permit any such vehicle to stand upon any portion of any public highway, roadway or right-of-way within a residential district (as defined in § 328-36) in the Borough of Old Forge, except at such locations where signs permitting such parking have been erected by the Borough of Old Forge.

The provisions of this article shall not apply to:
A. 
Vehicles of the Borough of Old Forge, fire apparatus, ambulances or vehicles engaged in the work of a public utility.
B. 
Vehicles actually engaged in the course of construction or repair of streets or while actually engaged in making deliveries or rendering services in or upon any property adjacent to the highway or roadway where said vehicles are parked.
C. 
Truck vehicles, as defined by the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as a motor vehicle designed, used or maintained primarily for the transportation of property, with a registered gross weight of 5,000 pounds or less.
Any owner or operator of a vehicle violating any provision of this article shall, upon judgment, be ordered to pay a fine of not more than $300, together with costs. Each day a violation exists shall constitute a separate violation.
