Editor's Note: This ordinance was adopted as Art. X, §§ 496-124 and 496-125, but was redesignated to fit into the existing organization of Ch. 496, Part 1.
It is unlawful to purposely engage in behavior or use property in a manner that is intended to distract motorists or other users of roads and streets within the City's corporate limits or under the City's jurisdiction or control.
No person may post, erect, display, or establish signs or signage within 50 feet of the right-of-way of any road or street within the City's corporate limits or under the City's jurisdiction or control, unless the posting, erection, display, or establishment of such signs or signage is otherwise authorized under the City Code, qualifies as a legal nonconformity under the City Code, or unless the City Council approves of such signs or signage expressly by ordinance.
