The Town Board may amend the provisions of this chapter pursuant
to Town Law § 265 and Municipal Home Rule Law Article 3
after public notice, public hearing, compliance with the State Environmental
Quality Review Act regulations (6 NYCRR Part 617), and following appropriate
referral to the County Planning Board pursuant to General Municipal
Law § 239-m.
Interpretation and application of the provisions of this chapter
shall be held to be minimal requirements, adopted for the promotion
of the public health, safety, or the general welfare. Whenever the
requirements of this chapter differ from the requirements of any other
lawfully adopted rules, regulations, or ordinances, the most restrictive,
or that imposing the higher standards, shall govern.
