Articles I, IV, and V of the Snowmobile Registration and Safety Act, hereinafter called the "Act," as amended, are incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein.[1]

No person shall hereafter operate any snowmobile within the corporate limits of the Village unless the snowmobile has been registered and numbered in accordance with the Act and unless the certificate of number awarded to the snowmobile is in full force and effect and the identifying number set forth in the certificate is displayed on each side of the cowling of the snowmobile.
All snowmobiles operated within the corporate limits of the Village shall be equipped as required by the provisions of Article IV of the Act.[1]

It is unlawful for any person to drive or operate any snowmobile in the Village in a manner prohibited by Article V of the Act.[1]

A. 
All operators of snowmobiles shall leave the Village by using Village streets from their homes to the nearest exit from the Village to the snowmobile trail desired to be used. The streets of the Village shall only be used by snowmobiles for the purpose of leaving and entering the Village. All persons operating snowmobiles on the Village streets as above set forth will remain on or as close as possible to the right side of the roadway.
B. 
There shall be no operation of snowmobiles within the Village limits on either Division Street or Broadway Street.

In the event of an emergency, the restrictions as to routes and the use and operation of snowmobiles within the Village may be waived for the operation of snowmobiles that may be summoned or used in an emergency, provided the emergency is declared by the Chief of Police, Fire Chief of the Coal City Fire Protection District, the President or the Civil Defense Coordinator.

In addition to the directions for operation of snowmobiles hereinabove set forth, operators must obey all traffic regulations as prescribed for motor vehicle traffic and are subject to the same penalties for violation thereof.
