GENERAL REFERENCES
Superintendent of Public Works — See Ch. 124, Art. I.
The purpose of this article is to implement Village Law § 3-300, Subdivision 2(a), which permits the Board of Trustees to provide that appointed Village officers may reside within the County of Saratoga and need not reside in the Village of Corinth.
In lieu of any other residency requirement imposed by law as a condition of the Village Clerk-Treasurer's, Deputy Clerk-Treasurer's, Superintendent of Public Works' or Building Inspector's holding office, the Village Clerk-Treasurer, Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Works and Building Inspector shall reside in the County of Saratoga but need not reside in the Village of Corinth.
Pursuant to Village Law § 3-300, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Corinth hereby waives the Village residency requirement for appointed Village officials.
Persons residing within the County of Saratoga shall be eligible to hold appointment as Village officers.
This article shall supersede any inconsistent provision of Public Officers Law § 3, Public Officers Law § 30, and Village Law § 3-300.
