Each Registrar of Voters shall devote his full time and effort to the duties of his office as prescribed by law.
An office for the Registrar of Voters shall be provided in such place as the City Council shall direct, and such office shall be open on all weekdays, except Saturdays and legal holidays, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Registrars shall be in attendance in the office during such office hours, except on such occasions when official duties require their presence elsewhere.
The Registrars shall assist the Town Clerk and the Selectmen in the admission of electors.
The Registrars shall perform all of the duties imposed upon them by law, and, in addition, shall perform such duties as may be prescribed by the Council by any resolution or vote.[1]
