No driver of a vehicle shall make a U-turn at the intersection of any street and Main Street, from the Main Street bridge to the intersection of Main Street and Bradbury Street.

Pursuant to its authority under 29-A M.R.S.A. the City Council does hereby prohibit a right turn on a red light at the following intersection(s):
Hill Street at Main Street
When establishing this prohibition, the City Council considered the following factors, as required under 29-A M.R.S.A. 2057(2):
(1) 
The proximity to that light of schools, fire stations, residences or institutions for the blind;
(2) 
The number of pedestrians using the intersection; and
(3) 
The complexity of the intersection.

(a) 
It is a traffic violation for the operator of a motor vehicle equipped with a compression release engine braking system (jake brake) to activate or use this braking system within the City of Biddeford between the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
(b) 
The following vehicles are exempt: Fire Department vehicles, or vehicles used in emergency construction or repair work by state, municipal or public utilities are exempt.
