Pursuant to C.G.S. § 9-185, effective upon the expiration of the term of the incumbent Treasurer or upon earlier vacancy in that office, the Office of the Treasurer shall become an appointive office, such appointment to be made by the Board of Selectmen. The terms of all appointed personnel shall be fixed terms of two years or less to coincide with the term of office of the Board of Selectmen.
