The Town does hereby agree to be a member and a participant in the Old Age and Survivor's Insurance System under Title II of the Social Security Act, as amended, and C.G.S. §§ 7-452 to 7-459, inclusive, as the same may be amended from time to time, for all its employees, except as otherwise provided.

The Board of Selectmen shall execute on behalf and in the name of the Town any and all agreements with the State Employee Retirement Commission in accordance with and subject to the provisions of C.G.S. §§ 7-452 to 7-459, inclusive, as the same may be amended from time to time, and subject to the regulation promulgated by the State Employees Retirement Commission.

The Treasurer of the Town shall make deductions from the wages of the employees participating in the aforesaid Old Age and Survivors Insurance System as required by statute and forward the amount thereof together with the contribution of the Town to the State Employees Retirement Commission in the manner and form prescribed by its regulations.
Part-time and emergency employees shall be excluded from participation in the Old Age and Survivors Insurance System.

The elected officials of the Town shall be provided coverage under the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Act pursuant to C.G.S. § 31-275, as amended.
