Any person who shall continue any work in or about the structure after having been served with a stop-work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be liable to a fine of not less than $200 nor more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than six months, or both, as provided by C.G.S. § 29-254a.
Pursuant to C.G.S. § 29-394, any person who, by himself or his agent, fails to comply with the written order of a Building Official for the provisions of additional exit facilities in a building, the repair or alteration of a building or the removal of a building or any portion thereof, shall be fined not less than $200 nor more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.
