[HISTORY: Adopted City of Norwalk Common Council 4-28-1981. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to the authority granted to the Common Council of the City of Norwalk in § 1-189 of the Charter of the City of Norwalk and in the Home Rule provisions of Section 7-194(56), of the Connecticut General Statutes, there is hereby created and established a pension plan for the food service employees of the City of Norwalk, to be known as the "Food Service Employees Pension Plan."
There shall be a Food Service Employees Pension Board composed of two members of the Board of Trustees of the Norwalk City Employees Pension Fund (Pension Board) created in Part II, Appendix, to the Code of the City of Norwalk. These two members shall be appointed to the Food Service Employees Pension Board by the Chairman of the Pension Board. A third member of the Food Services Employees Pension Board shall be one officer of the collective bargaining unit representing these employees who will have authority over the Food Services Employees Pension Plan only, as set forth below, and who will not have any authority over any other pension plan of the City of Norwalk or any power to serve as a Trustee on the Pension Board.
The Food Services Employees Pension Board shall have those powers as set forth in the Food Service Employees Pension Plan dated February 1, 1981, which is filed in the office of the City Clerk. The Food Services Employees Pension Board may, by unanimous vote of all three members, propose amendments to the Food Service Employees Pension Plan, subject to approval of the Common Council of the City of Norwalk. No such amendment shall become effective until it has been approved by a majority vote of said body.
