It is unlawful for any person to burn outdoors any domestic
refuse, rubbish, trade waste, or yard waste.
Outside incinerators of all kinds are unlawful and shall not
be used for fire or storage of refuse.
A.Â
No burning of any type of construction material shall occur within
the Borough of Shippensburg.
B.Â
If land is being cleared for a development or the construction of
a house, the burning of trees or timber, which is cut down on site,
is not permitted.
C.Â
The burning of clearing and grubbing waste associated with any land
development activity within the Borough is strictly prohibited. This
includes trees, shrubs, or other woody materials and their root systems.
This applies to all primary structure construction and accessory structure
or use construction activities.
No person may install, use, operate, or maintain an outdoor
wood-fired boiler in the Borough of Shippensburg.
