Any person found to be violating any provision of these regulations
shall be served by the Borough of Morris Plains, New Jersey, with
written notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a
reasonable time limit for the satisfactory correction thereof. The
offender shall, within the period of time stated in such notice, permanently
cease all violations.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall
be fined not more than two hundred dollars ($200.) or imprisoned not
more than sixty (60) days, or both. In addition, any such person shall,
upon conviction, be required to make restitution to the borough for
the costs of any sewer cleanout necessitated as a result of said prohibited
discharge. Each day that any violation of these regulations continues
and each day that any person continues to discharge prohibited wastes
or substances into any public sanitary sewer shall be deemed to be
a separate offense for the purpose of applying the penalty provided
in this Article.
3.
The Plumbing Inspector, Sewer Inspector, Board of Health and Police
Department of the Borough are the enforcement officers of the provisions
of this chapter and shall have the authority to issue notices and
summonses pursuant to the provisions hereof within their respective
jurisdictions.
