Further, to avoid disruption of Village business during periods of temporary absences or temporary disability of the Village Clerk-Treasurer, the position of Deputy Clerk-Treasurer is hereby deemed necessary and appropriate.

The Board of Trustees shall fix the compensation, hours of work and work conditions of the Clerk-Treasurer.
The Village Deputy Clerk-Treasurer shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees.
