Town of Addison, WI Article II Stop Intersections

§ 330-2 Stop intersections designated.

Pursuant to the authority of § 349.07, Wis. Stats., the following Town highways shall be through highways except where such highways intersect a county, state, or federal highway:

§ 330-3 Installation of stop signs. [1]

The head of the Department of Public Works is authorized and directed to procure and cause to be installed official stop signs at the entrances to all through highways from all other highways.

§ 330-4 Duty of motor vehicle operator.

Every operator of a motor vehicle approaching an official stop sign at an intersection with a through highway shall cause such vehicle to stop before entering the intersection unless directed to proceed by a traffic officer.

§ 330-5 Violations and penalties. [1]

Any person violating this article shall pay a forfeiture as set forth in § 346.49, Wis. Stats., which statutory provisions are adopted and incorporated herein by reference.

§ 330-6 When effective.

This article shall take effect when official stop signs as required herein have been installed and when proof of posting this article in three public places in the Town has been filed and recorded in the office of the Town Clerk.
