A. 
CPR RESCUE MASK — Means a mask equipped with a valve to prevent any transmission of fluids to user.
B. 
PRIVATE SWIMMING POOL — Means a swimming pool at a single-family dwelling located on private property under the control of a homeowner or tenant, the use of which is limited to members of the homeowner's or tenants family and nonpaying and invited guests.
C. 
PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL — Means a pool that is not a private swimming pool.
D. 
RECREATIONAL POOL — Means a pool that:
(1) 
Is provided as the owner's primary business or the facilities primary purpose, including a swim club or similar facility;
(2) 
Is open for general admission to the public; or
(3) 
Is provided by, or used by, a school.
E. 
SEMI-PUBLIC POOL — Means a pool that:
(1) 
Is located at a facility which is a temporary dwelling, to include, hotels, motels, campgrounds, or similar temporary dwelling; or
(2) 
Is located at a facility requiring membership at the facility, to include health clubs, retirement communities, condominiums, or similar facilities.
Each public, recreational and semi-public swimming pool in Harford County shall be equipped on site with a CPR rescue mask, first aid kit and automated external defibrillator approved by the Harford County Health Officer. The automated external defibrillator shall be tested and maintained as per the manufacturer's specifications by the owner or operator of the facility and shall be in compliance with the requirements listed in the Maryland Public Access Automated External Defibrillator Regulations Section of the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) Title 30.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject to the general penalty provisions of § 1-23 of this Code.
