The Town Meeting having, by action of the citizenry at a Special
Town Meeting on June 5, 1962, directed the Town Board to exercise
all powers relating to villages and conferred on village boards by
Ch. 61, Wis. Stats., the Town of Herman shall have said powers through
its Town Board. This is a continuing grant of powers.
A.
Pursuant to the Wisconsin Statutes, there is hereby established one
set of election officials to conduct all elections of the Town which
shall consist of 14 election inspectors. However, pursuant to § 7.32,
Wis. Stats., the Town Clerk is authorized to reduce the number of
election officials, provided that no such action may reduce the number
of officials at a polling place to fewer than three. The Clerk shall
determine in advance of each election whether the number of election
officials for such election should be reduced from the number prescribed
by the Wisconsin Statutes, and if such a reduction is so determined,
the Clerk shall further redistribute duties among the remaining officials.
Pursuant to § 7.32, Wis. Stats., the Town Clerk is hereby
authorized to reduce the number of election officials for all elections
to three officials; at the discretion of the Town Clerk, the number
of election officials may be increased for any election.
B.
Pursuant to § 7.30(1), Wis. Stats., which allows for the
selection of alternate election officials or two or more sets of election
officials to work at different times on election day, the Town Board
authorizes the selection of alternate and/or two sets of election
officials to staff the polls on election day. The Clerk is hereby
authorized to schedule election officials in shifts on any said election
day. The Town Clerk shall redistribute the duties of such election
officials.
A.
The Town of Herman shall generally use legal posting pursuant to
the Wisconsin Statutes as its means of giving notice. When publication
is utilized as a courtesy, publication shall be in the Dodge County
Pionier.
B.
The Town website and the Town Hall Notice Board shall be the usual,
customary, and legal posting locations.

The polling place for elections in the Town of Herman shall
be at the Herman Town Hall, W1892 Rock Road, Iron Ridge, Wisconsin
53035.
Every candidate for an elective Town office shall be nominated
by use of a caucus as prescribed by § 8.05(1), Wis. Stats.
