Parks, playgrounds, and recreation areas of the Borough shall be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., prevailing time, unless otherwise posted or unless written permission is granted by the Borough.

The following acts, uses, and conduct in parks, playgrounds, recreation areas, and municipal parking lots of the Borough are prohibited:
A. 
Possession or use of alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs.
B. 
Possession of or allowing animals onto the parks, playgrounds or recreation areas, except for service animals or other special exceptions approved by the Borough in writing in advance.
C. 
The construction or use of fire except in a barbecue grill or other equipment designed for that purpose.
D. 
Vehicle parking is permitted only in areas designated for that purpose.
E. 
Motorized recreational vehicles, including motorcycles, minibikes, and snowmobiles, except for those motorized vehicles permitted to be used by authorized Borough employees and municipal police officers for safety and/or maintenance in the parks. Permitted motorized vehicles must yield to pedestrians.
F. 
Nonmotorized vehicles, including bikes and scooters, are allowed if used in a safe, responsible manner. Nonmotorized vehicles must obey traffic signs/directions of traffic or police officers and must be used on trails marked/designated for that purpose.
G. 
Skateboards and in-line/roller skates anywhere except on macadam paths. Persons skateboarding or in-line skating or roller-skating must yield to pedestrians.
H. 
No persons shall use profane language or conduct themselves in any lewd, immoral or commonly objectionable manner within the parks.
I. 
Water guns or similar devices within the Fun Fort playground area: The flow of a water gun or similar device shall not be directed at another person or animal.
J. 
Setting up any booth, table or stand, mobile or otherwise, for the sale of any articles, whatsoever, without the written permission of the Borough.
K. 
The public shall not post or erect any bills, notices, or advertising within the parks.
L. 
Driving golf balls or practicing golf.
M. 
Vandalism, including damage to trees, plants, turf, buildings, structures, fixtures, or Borough property within the parks. Gathering or removing wood, turf, soil, rock, sand, gravel, or other materials stored at the parks is prohibited without written Borough permission.
N. 
Discharge of firearms is prohibited except for a justifiable use as per the Pennsylvania Crimes Code. Bows and arrows, slingshots, air rifles or other devices capable of throwing projectiles, and hand-throwing rocks and/or stones intended for use as weapons are prohibited. This Section shall not be operative in any specific area now designated or to be designed in the future by the Borough as a rifle range, archery range, or any other specific area whose purpose is to allow the activities otherwise prohibited by this Section.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this Part shall be, upon conviction thereof, sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $25 nor more $600 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30 days.
