office of the Village. The Village Manager shall also serve as the
Village Treasurer.
The Manager shall be appointed by the Mayor, by and with the
advice and consent of 2/3 of the members of the Board of Trustees,
to serve for an indefinite term. He shall be chosen solely on the
basis of his executive and administrative qualifications with special
reference to his actual experience in or his knowledge of accepted
practice in respect to the duties of his office hereinafter set forth.
At the time of his appointment and during his tenure of office he
need not be a resident of the Village or the state. No trustee shall
receive such appointment during the term for which he shall have been
elected nor within one year after the expiration of his term.
[Amended 11-5-1984 by FMC-197]

the Mayor is of the opinion that the interests of the Village demand
removal, but the Mayor shall report the reasons for the removal to
the Board of Trustees at a meeting to be held not less than five days
nor more than 10 days after the removal. If the Mayor fails or refuses
to report to the Board of Trustees the reasons for the removal, or
if the Board of Trustees by a two-thirds vote of all its members authorized
by law to be elected, disapproves of the removal, the Manager thereupon
shall be restored to office. The vote shall be by yeas and nays, which
shall be entered upon the minutes of the Board of Trustees.
