All newly installed traffic signals and upgrades to existing
traffic signals within the corporate boundaries of the Township of
Bloomfield shall be finished with a gloss, black powder coating. All
signal heads shall match the black powder coat finish.
All newly installed traffic signals and upgrades to existing
traffic signals within the corporate boundaries of the Township of
Bloomfield shall incorporate light-emitting diode (LED) technology
or other such equivalent technologies as reviewed and approved by
the Township Engineer. Traffic signals shall include a battery backup
to allow the signals to operate during power outages.
All newly installed traffic signals and upgrades to existing
traffic signals within the corporate boundaries of the Township of
Bloomfield shall be designed in strict conformance to New Jersey Department
of Transportation (NJDOT) Design Standards; the Manual of Uniform
Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD); N.J.S.A. Title 39; and any other
such laws or legislation in effect at the time on installation.
