Pursuant to the provisions of the Michigan Construction Code, in accordance with Section 8b(6) of Act 230 of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended,[1] the Building/Zoning Administrator of the City of Holland is hereby designated as the enforcing officer to discharge the responsibility of the City of Holland under Act 230, of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended, State of Michigan. The City of Holland assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of said Act throughout the corporate limits of the City of Holland.

Pursuant to the provisions of the State Construction Code, in accordance with Section 8b(6) of Act 230 of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended, Appendix G of the Michigan Building Code shall be enforced by the City of Holland within the corporate limits of the City of Holland.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Study (FIS) for Ottawa County, All Jurisdictions, effective October 21, 2021, and the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) Panels: 26139CIND0C, 26139C0292F, 26139C0293F, 26139C0294F, 26139C0311F, effective October 21, 2021, and 26139C0312E, 26139C0316E, 26139C0318E, effective December 16, 2011, are adopted by reference for the purposes of administration of the Michigan Construction Code, and declared to be a part of Section 1612.3 of the Michigan Building Code, and to provide the content of the "flood hazards" section of Table R301.2(1) of the Michigan Residential Code.

The Zoning Board of Appeals is hereby designated as the "Board of Appeals" under Appendix G of the Michigan Building Code and is hereby designated to hear all appeals of decisions made by the enforcing agency.
