Pursuant to the provisions of the Michigan Electrical Code and in accordance with the State Construction Code Act of 1972, Act 230 of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended (MCLA § 125.1501 et seq.), the City of Holland hereby assumes the responsibility for the administration and enforcement of the Michigan Electrical Code throughout its corporate limits.

A person who violates or fails to comply with the requirements of the electric code of the City is responsible for a Class III municipal civil infraction and subject to the civil fines set forth in the schedule of civil fines in Section 2-118 of this Code and any other relief that may be imposed by the court. Each act of violation and each day upon which such violation occurs shall constitute a separate violation.
