A.
General Elections. The General Municipal
Election shall be held as provided by Ordinance and applicable State
law.
B.
Special Elections. The City Council may,
by Ordinance, call Special Elections, fix the time for such elections,
and provide for holding such elections subject to applicable State
laws.
C.
Conduct Of Elections. All City elections
shall be governed by the provisions of this Charter and of applicable
State laws. The City Council, by Ordinance, may further regulate elections,
subject to the provisions of the Charter and applicable State laws.

Declarations of candidacy for elective
City offices shall be filed with the City Clerk in the form and manner
prescribed by Ordinance. No declaration of candidacy shall indicate
the affiliation or membership of the nominee with any political party
organized or recognized under the laws of the State of Missouri.
