B.
Penalties. Any user, person, firm, customer,
corporation, partnership, etc., found to be in violation of any provision
of this Chapter or who fails to comply with any of the requirements
stated herein shall be subject to a fine not to exceed five hundred
dollars ($500.00) per occurrence and/or imprisonment up to three (3)
months. Each day shall count as a separate occurrence.
C.
Discontinuance Of Service. The City shall
have the option and authority, in addition to the above penalties,
to discontinue water and/or sewer service to the premises in violation
of the requirements and regulations of this Chapter. Water and/or
sewer service shall not be restored until the violations have been
corrected or eliminated to the satisfaction of the City. Upon disconnection
of service all fines and charges must be paid prior to restoration
of service.
D.
Corrective Actions And Police Enforcement.
Nothing contained herein shall prevent the City from taking such other
lawful actions as necessary to protect the health and safety of the
public and/or to prevent damage to the City water and sewer systems
and facilities. Every Police Officer of the City shall, in connection
with his/her duties imposed by law, diligently enforce the provisions
of this Chapter.
