A. No
building permit shall be issued by any governing official for the
construction of any building, structure or improvements to the land
or to any lot within a subdivision which has been approved for platting
or replatting until all requirements of this Chapter have been fully
complied with or provisions have been made to ensure compliance.
B. No
building permit shall be valid unless construction is started within
six (6) months of the date of issue.
C. Any
building or structure for which a building permit is issued shall
conform to any building, electrical, plumbing, utility or safety code
now in force by ordinance or which may be enacted in the future for
the health, safety and welfare of the City.
D. All
proposed new construction in a flood-prone area, as identified on
the Flood Insurance Rate Map of the City of Ste. Genevieve, shall
comply with the specifications of the Floodplain management regulations
of the City before a building permit can be issued.

No plat of any subdivision shall be received for filing or recorded
by the County Recorder of Deeds or have any validity until it has
been approved in the proper manner established by the City.

All final plats of subdivisions, after the same have been submitted
and approved, shall be filed in a book of plats of the City of Ste.
Genevieve and shall be filed and kept by the City among the records
of the City.

If any Section, Subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this
Chapter is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Chapter.
