Water meters for measuring water furnished or to be furnished by the City shall be of a type prescribed by the City.

Any person not having a license from the proper officer of the City for the withdrawal and use of water from its hydrants, mains or pipes within the corporate jurisdiction of the City who shall knowingly withdraw or cause to be withdrawn any water from its hydrants, mains or pipes within the City, or from any point along the line of its mains or pipes, except from public watering and drinking fountains, shall be guilty of an ordinance violation.

No person shall in any way befoul or pollute the water supply of the City.

Consumers shall prevent unnecessary waste of water and be required to keep their sprinklers, hydrants, faucets, valves, hoses and all apparatus, including the service box and lead connections and corporation cock, in good condition, and failure to do so shall be an ordinance violation.
