For the purposes of this Chapter,
the following terms, phrases, words and their normal derivations will
have the meanings given herein.
GARAGE SALE
The sale of goods offered to the public conducted at a single-family,
a dual-family or a multi-family residential dwelling place regardless
of the location that said goods are placed upon or within said property
for display.
GOODS
Includes any goods, wares, merchandise, articles or other
personal property capable of being the object of a sale regulated
hereunder.
PERSON
Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation,
company or organization of any kind.

It shall be unlawful to conduct a
garage sale lasting longer than three (3) consecutive days and unlawful
to conduct a sale for more than fifteen (15) days in a calendar year.

No person shall erect, place, post
or mark any sign advertising a garage sale on the public property,
including street signs and posts and traffic signs and posts or on
any public utility pole. Any sign that shall be lawfully erected,
placed, posted or marked advertising such garage sale shall be removed
on or before 6:00 P.M. of the last day of such sale. The person responsible
for conducting any such garage sale shall be responsible for removing
any such signs.

No person shall accept or take in
for sale any goods from any commercial business or enterprise on a
consignment basis.

No goods offered for sale at a garage
sale shall be displayed for sale on any public street or right-of-way.
