A. 
The following are authorized business conferences:
1. 
Missouri Municipal League Legislative Conference.
2. 
Missouri Municipal League Annual Conference.
3. 
National League of Cities Annual Conference.
4. 
Annual Congressional City Conference.
5. 
Missouri Municipal League's Newly Elected Officials Conference. (One time/Council member).

A. 
Expenses for such authorized City business conferences shall be paid by the City in accordance with the following guidelines:
1. 
Transportation.
a. 
Where commercial air fare is the most convenient, it shall be considered the most economical. Reimbursement shall not exceed the cost of coach air fare. Receipts are required.
b. 
If a Council person chooses to drive rather than fly, he/she will be reimbursed no more than the cost of air coach fare.
c. 
Where use of private automobile is most convenient, reimbursement shall be made according to prevailing U.S. Internal Revenue rates allowable for said use.
2. 
Lodging. Receipts are required. The City shall pay the actual cost of lodging.
3. 
Other expenses.
a. 
The City shall pay for the actual cost of meals and gratuities. Alcoholic beverages are excluded.
b. 
Meal charges will be designated by breakfast, lunch and dinner.
c. 
Incidental expenses such as taxi fare and gratuities shall be paid by the City.
d. 
The above, notwithstanding, the City shall not pay in excess of forty dollars ($40.00) per day for the "other expenses".
e. 
Where the conference registration fee includes tickets for meals, and where the price of such meals can be determined, this cost must be included in the sum of the cost to be limited by the forty dollars ($40.00) daily maximum payment for "other costs".
4. 
Conference events. The cost of conference events shall be paid by the City.

The amount of money budgeted for travel is to be divided equally among the members of Council and the City Clerk.
