A.
The
Board of Aldermen shall, from time to time, provide by ordinances
for the levy and collection of all taxes and licenses.
B.
Within
a reasonable time after the copy of the assessment of the taxable
property of the City is obtained from the County Clerk, the Board
of Aldermen shall ascertain the amount of money to be raised thereon
for general and other purposes and fix the annual rate of levy therefor
by ordinance.
