Permission is hereby granted to any person engaged in the business
of supplying electricity or electric service or telephone or telegraph
service in the City to trim trees upon and overhanging streets, alleys,
sidewalks and public places of the City so as to prevent the branches
of such trees from coming into contact with the wires and cables of
the person supplying electricity or electric service or telephone
or telegraph service. Any such tree trimming is to be done under the
supervision and direction of any City Official to whom such duties
have been or may be delegated.

Trees and shrubbery shall be kept trimmed by the property owner
so that during any weather conditions the foliage or branches shall
not extend beyond the curbline unless there is a clearance of at least
twelve (12) feet at any point above a public roadway. Shrubs, bushes
and other objects shall not project into the sidewalk or street travel
area. To ensure safety of pedestrians, vegetation must be maintained
so as to have at least eight (8) feet of vertical clearance above
all portions of sidewalks and pedestrian paths.
