A. The City Clerk shall be appointed and discharged by the City Council
but shall be under the administrative direction of the City Manager.
B. The person appointed to the office of City Clerk shall be a qualified
voter of the County and shall hold his/her office at the pleasure
of the Council.

The City Council may appoint a Deputy City Clerk who shall have
the power and perform all the duties of the regular City Clerk in
the absence of the City Clerk and must meet all qualifications of
the City Clerk.
