Amendments to this chapter shall become effective only after a public hearing held by the Township Commissioners pursuant to public notice. The Planning Commission shall make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on any amendment within 30 days prior to the date of the public hearing.
At least 30 days prior to the date of the public hearing on an amendment to this chapter, a copy of the proposed amendment shall be forwarded to the Allegheny County Planning Department for review and recommendation.
Within 30 days after adoption, the Board of Commissioners shall forward a certified copy of any amendment to this chapter to the Allegheny County Planning Department for its files.
The text of any amendment to this chapter may be examined at a place designated by the Board of Commissioners prior to its consideration. Notice of said amendment to the chapter and a summary thereof shall be published not more than 60 days nor less than seven days prior to passage.
No change in this chapter or Chapter 400, Zoning, shall adversely effect the applicant's right to complete any finally approved aspect of the proposed development within five years from such approval, when an application for approval of a subdivision plat has been approved or when an application for land development has been approved and the applicant accepts the conditions of approval.
