It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association or corporation
to operate in the City of Mission any automobile, truck or other vehicle
for the purpose of selling or offering for sale any produce, manufactured
article or merchandise of any description upon any street or alley
in any residential zone as defined by the zoning laws of the City
in such a manner as to produce noise of any kind designed to attract
attention to such automobile, truck or other vehicle. Prohibited noises
shall include, but not be limited to, the operation of a public address
system or loudspeaker.

A. The City Clerk shall conduct a suitability investigation of all license applications in accordance with Sections
600.200 and
605.050.
B. The
Police Department is authorized to aid such department head, director,
City Clerk, Mayor or authorized representative in fulfilling the requirements
of this Section by supplying requested information it may possess
regarding the persons requesting a license to the requesting department
head, director, City Clerk, Mayor or authorized representative.

A. Frequency. It shall be unlawful for any person to hold more
than two (2) garage sales at the same location within one (1) calendar
year.
B. Duration. It shall be unlawful for any person to conduct
a garage sale lasting longer than five (5) days.
C. Definitions. For the purpose of this Section, the following
terms, phrases, words and the derivations will have the meaning given
herein:
GOODS
Includes any goods, wares, merchandise or other property
capable of being the object of a sale regulated hereunder.
PERSON
Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation,
company or organization of any kind.
GARAGE SALE
A sale operated out of a single-family dwelling or a dual-family
dwelling or a multiple-family dwelling.
D. Registration. No person shall conduct any garage sale until
such time as registration has been made by the City Clerk.
E. Advertising. It shall be unlawful for any person to advertise
a garage sale by placing signs of any nature on any utility poles
or traffic control devices. Sign permits are not required for garage
sales or yard sales. Garage sale and yard sale signs may not exceed
five (5) square feet in area per side and not more than four (4) such
signs per sale event. Signs shall not be displayed for a longer time
than the duration of the sale. Signs shall not be displayed on or
in any public right-of-way or on any private property without express
permission of the owner or occupant of such property.
F. Notice To Comply. Any person who fails to comply with the
provisions above may be given notice by the City to comply with the
above provisions. Any person's failure to comply with the above-listed
provisions after receiving notice will constitute a violation of this
Article.

Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of
this Article shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in a sum of
not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than one hundred dollars
($100.00); provided, that each day's violation shall constitute a
separate offense.
