A. 
Adoption. The Board of Aldermen hereby adopts the 2018 International Plumbing Code, as published by the International Code Council, and all referenced standards therein as if spelled out in this Article, except such portions thereof as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended. This code shall be designated as Section 500.260, Plumbing Code of Title V, Building and Construction, known as part of the Strafford Municipal Code. One (1) copy of said code is on file in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall 126 South Washington Avenue, Strafford, Missouri.
B. 
The 2018 Plumbing Code, as adopted, is hereby amended, and changed as follows:

101.1 Title. Insert: City of Strafford, Missouri

106.6. Fees. Delete this Section in its entirety including Subsections 106.6.1 through 106.6.3. Insert: Strafford Municipal Code Section 500.480.
3. 
108.5 Violation Penalties. Insert: (Misdemeanor) ($500.00) (90 days).
4. 
112.4 Stop Work Orders. Insert: ($500.00) ($500.00).
5. 
305.4.1 Sewer Depth. Insert: (18 inches) (12 inches).
6. 
306.5 Pipe Tracing. All water service piping and building sewer piping shall be installed with a tracer wire attached to the pipe from the point of connection to the water meter or sewer lateral to the point of entrance of the building.
7. 
313 Equipment Efficiencies. Delete this Section in its entirety.
8. 
410.4 Substitutions. Exception: In other than an "A" use group with an occupancy of forty-nine (49) or less, a bottled water dispenser or cooler may be substituted for the drinking fountain.

903.1 Roof Extension. Insert: (12 inches).
10. 
1003.3 Grease Interceptors. Insert: Grease interceptors shall also comply with the FOG program as established by the City of Strafford.

1003.3.1 Grease Interceptors And Automatic Grease Removal Devices Required. Insert: day care centers.
12. 
1003.3.3 Additives To Grease Interceptors. Delete this Section in its entirety.
13. 
1003.3.7 Gravity Grease Interceptors And Gravity Grease Interceptors With Fats, Oils, And Grease Disposal Systems. Insert: Concrete grease interceptors are prohibited.
14. 
1003.11 Sampling Manhole. A sampling manhole shall be required for a system which contains an oil or grease interceptor. The design shall be in conformance with that as shown with the FOG program requirements.

Nothing in this Article or in the Plumbing Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in Section 500.290 of this Article; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this Article.

All City of Strafford ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict are herewith and hereby repealed.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or the code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for a period of not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
