A.
Adoption. The Board of Aldermen hereby adopts the 2018 International Energy Conservation Code, Commercial Provisions, as published by the International Code Council, and all referenced standards therein as if spelled out in this Article, except such portions thereof as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended. This code shall be designated as Section 500.452, International Energy Conservation Code of Title V, Building and Construction, known as part the Strafford Municipal Code. One (1) copy of said code is on file in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall 126 South Washington Avenue, Strafford, Missouri.
B.
The
2018 International Conservation Energy Code, as adopted, is hereby
amended, and changed as follows:
1.
C101.1 Title. Insert: City of Strafford, Missouri.
2.
C107.2 Schedule Of Permit Fees. Delete this section in its entirety. Insert: Strafford Municipal Code Section 500.480.
3.
C401.2.1 Application To Existing Buildings.
Exception: Renovations to existing buildings where
it is technically infeasible to conform to the IECC, as approved by
the Building Official.
4.
402.1.1 Low Energy Buildings.
The following low energy buildings, or portions thereof, separated
from the remainder of the building by building-thermal-envelope assemblies
complying with this Section, shall be exempt from the building-thermal-envelope
provisions of Section C402:
Those with a peak design rate of energy usage, less than 3.4
15 Btu/h*ft2 (47.3 W/m2).
Storage Groups S-1 and S-2.
Utility and Miscellaneous Group U.
Factory Group F-1 and F-2.

C403.2.4.4 Shutoff Damper Controls.
Amended to read as follows: Exceptions: Gravity
dampers shall be permitted for buildings of any height located in
Climate Zones 1, 2, 3, and 4.
6.
C405.2 Lighting Controls. Delete: {Mandatory}; Add:
(Non-Mandatory).
7.
C405.4 Exterior Lighting Power Requirements. Delete
this Section in its entirety.
8.
C408 System Commissioning. Delete this Section in its
entirety.
9.
DELETE THE RESIDENTIAL PROVISIONS IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Nothing in this Article or in the Energy Conservation Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in Section 500.458 of this Article; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this Article.

All City of Stafford ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
are herewith and hereby repealed.
