It shall be the duty of the owner, agent, lessor or occupant
of every house or other building, except barns, garages and other
buildings which are part of the same property with a numbered house
or building, to place on every such building its proper street number.

A.
Numbers
shall be placed on existing houses and buildings within thirty (30)
days from the time said owners, agents, lessors or occupants are notified
either by mail, publication or telephone of the assignment of numbers
to said houses as hereinafter provided.
B.
Numbers
shall be placed on newly constructed houses and buildings within thirty
(30) days after construction is completed or becomes occupied, whichever
occurs first.

A.
The
minimum height of each number shall be no less than four (4) inches
and the maximum height of each number shall be no more than twelve
(12) inches. The minimum width of each number shall be no less than
one (1) inch.
B.
The
house numbers must be standard numerals. No Roman numerals, numbers
spelled out in words or other form will be allowed.
C.
The
said numbers are to be of a color that are in contrast to the immediate
background.

A.
Proper
numbering shall be required on each house, building or other structure
on the street front and if there be an alley entrance, also at the
alley entrance to the premises on which a said house, building or
other structure is located. The number shall be placed either on the
front transom bar, front transom glass, over the porch entrance, front
show window, or over or on either side of the entrance.
B.
The
number shall be placed as to be in full view from the edge of the
street. It shall further be unlawful to cover any house number with
any sign, drapery or to allow any other obstruction tending to conceal
such number from the edge of the street.
C.
If
there is an alley entrance, the house number shall be placed conspicuously
at the said alley entrance.

All old numbers must be removed from any house, building or
other structure if a new number has been assigned to said house, building
or other structure.

A.
Numbers
shall be assigned to houses and buildings from the township line between
Townships 29 and 30 North (McCabe Street and Bluegrass Road), and
from Madison Street south of said township line and Washington Street
north of said township line.
B.
All
houses and buildings situated within the first (1st) block north of
the township line between 100 and 199 inclusive; within the second
(2nd) block numbers between 200 and 299 inclusive shall be used and
so on in each succeeding block; and all numbers shall be indicated
by adding the word "North" to the name of the street.
C.
In
like manner, the numbers between 100 and 199 inclusive shall be used
in the first (1st) block south of the township line between Townships
29 and 39 North on intersecting streets and each succeeding 100 in
each succeeding block; and the word "South" shall be added to the
street name.
D.
All
houses and buildings situated within the first (1st) block east of
Madison Street south of the township line between Townships 29 and
30 North on all intersecting streets shall be given numbers between
100 and 199 inclusive; within the second (2nd) block numbers between
200 and 299 inclusive shall be used and so on in each succeeding block;
and all numbers shall be indicated by adding the word "East" to the
name of the street.
E.
In
like manner, the numbers between 100 and 199 inclusive shall be used
in the first (1st) block west of Madison Street south of the township
line between Townships 29 and 30 North on intersecting streets and
each succeeding 100 in each succeeding block; and the word "West"
shall be added to the street name.
F.
All
houses and buildings situated within the first (1st) block east of
Washington Street north of the township line between Townships 29
and 30 North on all intersecting streets shall be given numbers between
100 and 199 inclusive; within the second (2nd) block numbers between
200 and 299 inclusive shall be used and so on in each succeeding block;
and all numbers shall be indicated by adding the word "East" to the
name of the street.
G.
In
like manner, the numbers between 100 and 199 inclusive shall be used
in the first (1st) block west of Washington Street north of the township
line between Townships 29 and 30 North on intersecting streets and
each succeeding 100 in each succeeding block; and the word "West"
shall be added to the street name.
