The Township Real Estate Tax Collector ("Tax Collector") is
authorized, effective immediately, to prepare and deliver, upon lawful
request, real estate tax certifications, indicating the status of
taxes, liens, and related information in the Tax Collector's possession
which are contained in official Township records. Prior certifications
delivered by the Tax Collector are hereby ratified and confirmed.
The Township Real Estate Tax Collector is authorized, effective
immediately, to collect the fees established from time to time by
the Township Commissioners for the preparation and delivery of the
tax certifications. At present, this fee is $25 per certification.
Previous collections of tax certification fees are hereby ratified
and confirmed by the Township.
The Tax Collector shall, at least once each month, pay over
to the Township all tax certification fees collected. The Tax Collector
shall bill and receive payment from the Township in the amount of
$10 for each such certification as his or her compensation for performing
the service of preparing and delivering the tax certification. The
ten-dollar additional compensation shall begin with certifications
delivered on or after July 1, 1994. At each reorganization meeting
of the Township Commissioners, it may, in its sole discretion, increase
or decrease this ten-dollar compensation by resolution rather than
ordinance, to the extent permitted by law.
