There is hereby created a Park Board consisting of five (5) members appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Board of Aldermen for a three (3) year term.

The Board shall elect one (1) of its number as Chairman and one (1) as Secretary. The Board shall keep a correct record of its proceedings and shall meet at such times as it may determine.

The Park Board shall direct in an advisory capacity the ornamenting, adorning, laying out and improving of the grounds of said parks.

All receipts on account of the City parks, whether arising from rentals, donation, sale of any part thereof, or of any land so willed and devised by any person to said City, shall be exclusively expended and applied under the direction and control of the Board of Aldermen.

All administrative and supervisory responsibilities as outlined in this Chapter may be delegated to the City Administrator with the approval of the Board of Aldermen.

The Park Board shall make an annual report to the Board of Aldermen on or before the second (2nd) Monday in June of each year. This report is required to be in writing and is required to state the condition of the parks as they are on the first (1st) day of May of that year and to show the money received from the park levy and to show any other money received.
