As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PATRIOT SQUARE
The public park, known as "Patriot Square," defined, for the purposes of this article, as the area, including sidewalks, bounded by East Green Street, South Prospect Street, East Broad Street and South Market Street.
SMOKING
The burning of any type of lighted pipe, cigar, cigarette or any other smoking equipment, whether filled with tobacco or any other type of material.
TOBACCO PRODUCTS
Include dipping and chewing tobacco.
Smoking and the use of tobacco products are prohibited at all times on Patriot Square located in the City of Nanticoke.
The City Police Department shall be empowered to enforce this article.
Anyone who smokes or uses tobacco products on Patriot Square shall be subject to a fine of not less than $50 and not more than $300.

The City Council of the City of Nanticoke desires to establish rules and regulations for its parks and recreation areas so that residents can enjoy these areas in a peaceful and clean environment.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated, unless a different meaning clearly appears from the context:
PARKS OR RECREATIONAL AREAS
Unless specifically limited, shall be deemed to include all parks, playgrounds and recreation areas now or hereafter owned or acquired by the City of Nanticoke for park or recreational purposes.
PERSON
Any natural person, corporation, organization of persons, company, association or partnership.
The following rules are hereby established for any person using parks or recreation areas in the City of Nanticoke:
A. 
No person shall deposit garbage, paper, bottles, cans, waste material or litter in any park or recreation area except in receptacles designated for such purpose.
B. 
No person shall stand on tables or benches in parks or recreation areas or remove said tables or benches from said areas.
C. 
No person shall bring into a park or recreation area any alcoholic beverage or illegal drug of any kind, and no person shall use a park or recreation area while intoxicated or otherwise under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
D. 
No person shall smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipes or any other product or use tobacco products commonly known as "chew" in parks or recreation areas.
E. 
No person using a park or recreation area shall disturb the peace by any conduct, including but not limited to the playing of loud music, so as to annoy any other person using the park or recreation area for recreational purposes.
F. 
No person using a park or recreation area shall use threatening, abusive, insulting, profane or obscene language or words or commit any disorderly or immoral acts.
G. 
No person using a park or recreation area shall permit pets to run at large where such pet is out of control or unleashed.
H. 
No person using a park or recreation area shall use firecrackers, fireworks or other missile propelling instruments or explosives.
I. 
No person using a park or recreation area shall cause graffiti to be made on any part of the park or recreation area.
J. 
No skateboarding shall be permitted in parks and recreation areas.
K. 
No fighting or horseplay shall be permitted in any park or recreation area.
L. 
No person shall injure, deface, remove, cut or damage any of the trees, plants, shrubs, turf, buildings, structures, signs or fixtures, or any other property of the City of Nanticoke located within any park or recreation area.
The police officers of the City of Nanticoke are charged with enforcement of the provisions of this article.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $300 and, in default of said payment, shall be imprisoned for a term not to exceed 30 days. Each violation of this article shall be deemed a separate offense.
