The Mayor of the Township of Morris may and he is hereby authorized
to grant licenses under his hand and the Seal of the said Township
to such persons as he shall think proper, according to the provisions
of this chapter, to carry on the trade or business or act in the capacity
of auctioneers.

The expiration date for licenses shall be December 31 next after
the same shall have been granted.

In addition to the license fee of the auctioneer of $50, there
shall be an additional fee of $25 per auctioneer for each auction
held, and said licensed auctioneer shall furnish a list of such auctions,
including the date thereof, the premises where held and the owners
or owner of the material so auctioned, which such list shall be filed
with the Township of Morris, together with the required fee, a minimum
of 20 working days prior to the date of any such auction.
If any person or persons, company or corporation shall engage in or pursue the occupation or calling of auctioneer within the limits of the Township of Morris without having first obtained a license for that purpose, he or they shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable as provided in §
180-8 of this chapter.
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to apply to sales
made under or by virtue of any execution or final process issued out
of any of the courts of this state.

Any license granted under the provisions of this chapter may
be suspended or revoked by the Mayor upon satisfactory cause shown,
and after the revocation and during the suspension of such license,
the same shall be inoperative and void.
Every license which shall be granted to an auctioneer shall
designate the store or place in which the person receiving such license
shall be authorized to carry on such business, but, on special occasions,
such licensed person may act as an auctioneer at any other place or
places where his services may be required.

The penalty for the violation of this chapter shall be as provided in §
1-3, General penalty, of this Code.
