In the event of damage occurring to a mailbox in the Township of Morris as a result of the operation of vehicles and equipment by Township personnel, the Township of Morris shall reimburse the property owner or appropriate party the actual cost of repair or replacement, subject to the following limitations set forth herein.
To be eligible for reimbursement, each damaged mailbox must:
A. 
Have been approved by the United States Postal Service.
B. 
Be set back a minimum of eight inches from the curbline or, if no curb, from the traveled portion of the roadway.
C. 
Be located not less than 40 inches above the traveled surface.
The maximum liability of the Township of Morris for the repair or replacement of a damaged or destroyed mailbox shall be the total sum of $50.
