Township Secretary generally — See Charter, Art. VI.
[1974 Code Sec. 2-18]
(a) 
The Township Secretary shall be responsible to Council and shall account to Council as the Administration Committee shall determine. The responsibilities of the Secretary include, but are not limited to, the following:
(1) 
Being Secretary to the Council.
(2) 
Keeping a record of the proceedings of Council members in a minute book.
(3) 
Recording in the minute book all court orders relative to the laying out, opening and vacating of roads.
(4) 
Preserving the minute book, account book and other financial records and turning the same over to the successor in office.
(5) 
Keeping the annual tax duplicate of the Township.
(6) 
Informing all members of Council of all functions and meetings, including special meetings of the Council.
(7) 
Serving as Treasurer of the Township unless otherwise provided by Council.
(b) 
The Council may, by resolution, reduce, add or modify the responsibilities set forth in subsection (a) hereof.
(c) 
The Council may, be resolution, separate the responsibilities set forth in subsection (a) hereof into two separate functions.
