Wherever a space is marked off on any street for the parking
of an individual vehicle, every vehicle parked there shall be parked
wholly within the lines bounding that space, and it shall be a violation
of this Part for any person to park a vehicle or allow it to remain
parked otherwise.

It shall be unlawful for any person to park, or to allow to
remain parked, on any of the following streets or parts of streets
any vehicle other than a passenger car (which shall not include any
bus, motor home or passenger car attached to a trailer of any kind):

No person shall park a vehicle, or allow it to remain parked,
for longer than the time indicated, in any of the following locations,
at any time on the days and between the hours indicated:

The following are established as special purpose parking zones,
and it shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle or to allow
it to remain parked in any such zone except as specifically provided
for that zone:

It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park a
vehicle (other than a pedalcycle) on the roadway side of any vehicle
stopped or parked at the edge or curb of any street, except that standing
or parking for the purpose of loading or unloading persons or property
shall be permitted on the following named streets on Monday through
Saturday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and between
the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and for no longer than necessary
for the loading or unloading.

1. It shall be a violation of this Section for any person to park any
motor vehicle or for any person, partnership, corporation or association
to permit any motor vehicle owned by it to be parked on a public road
or street right-of-way within Shrewsbury Township or to otherwise
obstruct or permit the obstructing of such road or street right-of-way,
unless there is an addition to the area taken by the parked motor
vehicle or other obstruction 20 feet of the travelable surface of
a public road or street between the portion of such motor vehicle
most proximate to the center of the public road or street and the
edge of the travelable surface of the public road or street across
the center of such road or street measured from the point of said
vehicle or obstruction located most proximate to the center of the
public road or street to the point on the edge of the travelable surface
of such public road or street located across the center of the highway
from the motor vehicle or obstruction, but a point most proximate
to such motor vehicle or obstruction.
2. It shall be a further violation of this section for any person to
park a motor vehicle or for any person, partnership, corporation or
association to permit a motor vehicle owned by it to be parked or
remain parked on any portion of the right-of-way of any public road
or street in the Township or otherwise obstruct any portion of a right-of-way
of a public road or street in the Township at a time when there is
more than four inches of snow on the travelable surface of such road
or street or any portion thereof within 100 feet of such parked motor
vehicle or obstruction.
3. It shall be a further violation of this section for any person, partnership,
corporation or association to place, deposit, or distribute any physical
matter, material, or substance onto any public alley, road, or street
by any means, including but not limited to earth, mud, gravel, liquids,
ice, snow, grass, leaves, trees, or parts thereof, or any other material
that would or could cause obstruction or otherwise impede or cause
to impede or cause to obscure vision of traffic, or the normal flow
thereof or otherwise create a hazardous condition, as described above,
onto the right-of-way of a public road or street.
4. It shall be a further violation of this Part for any person to park
any motor vehicle or for any person, partnership, corporation or association
permitting any motor vehicle owned by it to be parked within any public
road or street right-of-way within the Township or to otherwise obstruct
any public road or street right-of-way within the Township at a location
less than 25 feet from any road, street or driveway intersecting such
public road or street on the same side of the road as the parked vehicle
or other obstruction is located.
5. In the event a motor vehicle is parked on a public road or street right-of-way in violation of either Subsection
1,
2 or
4 of this section, the Board of Supervisors shall have the right to cause the removal of such motor vehicle to a place designated by the Township and prior to the owner of such motor vehicle regaining possession of such vehicle, such owner shall pay to the Township the costs incurred by the Township in causing such removal and storage, in addition thereto, pay to the Township the penalty prescribed by this section. In the event snow or other obstruction is placed on a public road or street right-of-way in violation of either Subsection
1,
2,
3 or
4, as the case may be, the Board of Supervisors shall have the right to cause the removal of such snow or obstruction from the public road or street right-of-way and to assess the person, partnership, corporation or association responsible for such snow or obstruction being in the right-of-way way for the costs of removing the same and such person, partnership, corporation or association shall pay to the Township the same together with the penalty prescribed by this section.
6. Shrewsbury Township, its employees and contractors shall have no
liability for any damage to any motor vehicle parked in violation
of this section occurring to such motor vehicle by reason of the Township's
removal of such vehicle from its parking location and/or by reason
of the Township's removal of such vehicle from its parking location
and/or by reason of the Township's road maintenance and/or snow
removal equipment colliding with such motor vehicle.
7. Any person, partnership, corporation or association violating any
of the provisions of this section, upon conviction thereof in an action
brought before a magisterial district judge in the manner provided
for the enforcement of summary offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules
of Criminal Procedure, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more
than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and
costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 90 days. Each day that
a violation of this Part continues or each section of this Part which
shall be found to have been violated shall constitute a separate offense.

It shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle or to
allow the same to remain parked, at any time between _____ and _____
on any of the following portions of the highways of the Township on
the days hereby respectively designated for street sweeping purposes:

Any person who violates any provision of this Part shall, upon
conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $15 and costs.
Provided, it shall be the duty of the police officers and of parking
enforcement personnel of the Township to report to the appropriate
official all violations of any provision of this Part indicating,
in each case, the Section violated; the license number of the vehicle
involved in the violation; the location where the violation took place;
and any other facts that might be necessary in order to secure a clear
understanding of the circumstances attending the violation.
