The reserve police unit of the City of St. Ann shall consist of such number of members as chosen by the Marshal (Police Chief) with the approval of the Board of Police Commissioners of the City of St. Ann. In order to qualify for the position of reserve officer, a candidate shall successfully complete the required hours of training for a reserve officer under the standards promulgated by the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission, as same may be amended from time to time, at a certified training academy. Upon completion of such training and upon recommendation of the Marshal (Police Chief), a candidate may be approved by the Board of Police Commissioners of the City of St. Ann. Any person so selected shall be sworn in by the City Clerk and may participate as a reserve police officer.
