Borough of North Haledon, NJ Chapter 675 Tattooing and Body-Piercing Establishments

§ 675-1 Applicability of state regulations.

The provisions of Chapter 8 of the New Jersey Sanitary Code, particularly N.J.A.C. 8:27-1 et seq., entitled "Body Art Procedures," shall be applicable to the Borough of North Haledon.

§ 675-2 Limitation on number of licenses.

The number of licenses issued in the Borough of North Haledon shall be limited to one for every 10,000 of its population as shown by the last then-preceding federal census. For this purpose, no part of 10,000 shall suffice to warrant an additional license.

§ 675-3 Fees. [1]

Fees as provided in Chapter 635, Fees, Health, shall be charged in connection with any application made pursuant to § 675-1.

§ 675-4 Violations and penalties.

A. An amount not less than $100 nor more than $1,000 for each violation of this chapter shall be payable to the Borough of North Haledon. Each day that the violation exists is considered to be a separate offense.

B. Reasonable counsel fees incurred by the Board of Health in the enforcement of this chapter shall be paid by the defendant. The amount of such reimbursement fees and costs shall be determined by the court hearing the matter.

C. After due notice and hearing, the Board may suspend or revoke any license issued under this chapter for violation of the provisions of this chapter.
